For Mark Yeates, making art is all about exploration, both of processes and creative ideas. My restless relationship with techniques means my work, and the themes I explore, are quite eclectic. It is from experimentation that a lot of my work evolves and finds meaning. 


I love surface, textures and layers and I have with a strong leaning toward printmaking, collage, painting and drawing techniques. Often I will combine some or all of these in mixed media which offers so much freedom to play and discover.
